Type - Branding video series

Purpose - Our mission was to give potential applicants an authentic introduction to STARBREEZE by showcasing the people in the company. Through genuine answer and reflections from our colleagues, we aimed to convey what it feels like to work here even before someone applies.

My Role - I was responsible for the overall visual style and tone of the recruitment videos. Together with our copywriter, I helped develop the interview questions and structured the workflow for the entire project.

Approach - Together with the copywriter, we identified key questions that candidates typically have during a recruitment process and developed open-ended questions to address them. We also made room for follow-up questions to encourage a more natural and engaging flow during the interviews.

To help participants feel at ease, we offered the option to use a teleprompter or speak freely, depending on what made them most comfortable. We made sure to spend time chatting and creating a relaxed atmosphere before filming, which led to genuine moments and lots of laughter on set.

Accomplishment - The project resulted in over 20 professional videos featuring a diverse range of employees from leadership roles to hands-on craft disciplines. These videos now act as a powerful tool to showcase the company culture and support recruitment across multiple platforms.

The people of the company.

This project was a joy to work on, involving close collaboration with HR, the copywriter, and all the participants.

My personal goal was to create a sense of openness both in tone and visuals. I achieved it by using a spacious room to record in, soft lighting and minimal decoration. I’m especially fond of including elements just outside the frame, which subtly reinforces a feeling of transparency and authenticity.

Making the participants feel comfortable was a top priority. We prepared them in advance with the interview questions and that led to reduce nervousness and encouraged more thoughtful, relaxed responses during filming.

I chose to use a shotgun microphone, strategically positioned above the subject, instead of a lavalier mic placed near the chest. This approach helped minimize distractions and allowed participants to stay focused on the conversation, rather than being self-conscious about wearing a visible mic or worried that their movements might affect the sound quality.
